When we think of improving our hair, skin + nails we automatically think we need to get a vitamin and head to Amazon. However, beauty truly does start from within, especially with what you eat. Your skin and body are always a reflection of what you’re putting in your body.
The food we ingest does affect our hair, skin, and nails…sharing a few that are worth putting on your plate!
Salmon/fatty fish- Rich in biotin, a nutrient that helps promote healthy nail growth and prevents nails from becoming brittle and weak.
Sweet potatoes- Packed with beta-carotene, which the body converts to vitamin A. Vitamin A promotes keratin production and is essential for skin and nail health.
Eggs- Eggs bring vitamin A, vitamin E, iron, vitamin B7, and vitamin B12 to the table. Protein is an essential part of a hair-healthy diet, a diet insufficient in protein may make hair brittle.
Blueberries- Have the highest antioxidant properties of all fruits and vegetables! In addition to their anti-aging capabilities, blueberries also combat acne.
Oysters- An excellent source of zinc, which is needed for hair growth and tissue repair.
Beans- They’ve got protein, zinc and biotin, which can help make your nails thicker and less prone to splitting!
